Christina Rowberry



Christina cross-qualified in 2006, and was called to the bar in October 2006, practising criminal law at the independent bar, prosecuting and defending in both the Crown Court and Magistrate’s Court.

Christina joined Robin Murray and Co. as in-house counsel in November 2010 and continues to appear as the instructed advocate in both the higher and lower courts.

Throughout practice, Christina has obtained a wide and varied experience of cases including violent offences, public order, sexual offences, drug offences, fraud and dishonesty. More recently she has been counsel in offences involving gun and knife crime, multi handed conspiracies for supplying drugs and to committ robbery, but also been junior counsel on two murder cases.

Christina has appeared before the Court of Appeal on a number of occasions both in appeals of conviction and sentence, and has successfully appealed excessive sentences in matters of violence, fraud and arson.

She has an interest in vulnerable defendants and those with mental health problems, in particular youths and defendants suffering with Asperger syndrome.

Notable cases which Christina has been instructed include: R (on the application of Tullett) v Medway Magistrates Court (judicial review) and London Borough of Bromley v C (appeal by way of case stated), R v Rahman (Mohammad) 2009, R v Wojcik 2010, and R v Farrant 2010.
